It has been about 5 years since the release of the unprecedented "Deep Dripper Pro", which has a 45˚ bottom angle and a hexagonal shape with dotted ribs.
Finally, we release the "FLOWER DRIPPER DEEP 45", which has been redesigned with the flower shape. Enjoy the flower shape that embodies CAFEC brewing theory and upgraded with the Tritan material, for a “clear and deep flavor with no unpleasant taste, yet with a full-body coffee.”

DEEP 45 Development Story

In 2018, CAFEC was the first to successfully create a deeper filtering layer with “Deep Dripper Pro”, which is an innovative dripper that overturns the conventional theory in both angle and shape, and has been well received for its rich flavor.

However, we still aimed to achieve DEEP 45 with a flower shape that incorporates all of the CAFEC brewing theory! That feeling never went away.

Meanwhile, CAFEC brand has rapidly spread both domestically and internationally over the past few years, so we finally decided to step into product development in 2023. After a lot of thought and efforts, “FLOWER DRIPPER DEEP 45” was redesigned to CAFEC's original flower shape and upgraded to Tritan material that is friendly to both people and the environment.
“FLOWER DRIPPER DEEP 45” is for 3 to 7 cups. Not only the professionals, we hope everyone can enjoy a wonderful coffee time with your family, friends, and guests.

Why 45˚?

Has the best bottom angle of 45˚, which was pursued during the development of "Deep Dripper Pro". The theory is that the longer it takes for water to pass through coffee grounds, the tastier the coffee becomes. In other words, we thought about making the filtering layer as long as possible, and after searching for a size that would allow it to be stably placed on the server, we found the perfect solution.

Why flower shape?

Flower ribs are the biggest feature of the FLOWER DRIPPER.
The ribs formed by gouging the dripper ensure a firm air space
between the dripper and the paper,
and do not prevent fresh coffee grounds from expanding.
In addition, we can ensure a smooth extraction by
having sharp ribs around the bottom hole.
Brewing speed is higher even to brew many cups.
In addition, the handle improves its functionality and makes it easier to use.
The material itself is strong and light,
and safety has been improved by shifting to BPA (bisphenol A)-free Tritan,
which is safe for human body.

Two types of dedicated paper filters that bring out the full potential of the dripper

There are two types of special paper filters manufactured at the time of development of ``Deep Dripper Pro'',
with differences in paper structure and material.

  • A. Traditional DEEP 45 paper filter

    Deep 45

    It is the CAFEC's traditional paper filter with double-side crepe.
    Both sides of the paper have higher crepe (wrinkles), and thanks to it, almost all fine coffee powders can be catched by the crepe. This unique structure allows water to drain smoothly, realizing CAFEC's theory that the speed at which water is poured from above is the same as the speed at which coffee is extracted from the bottom.
    This traditional (100% wood pulp) filter has been loved long before Abaca filters were created.

  • B. Abaca+ DEEP 45 paper filter

    Deep 45

    The environmentally friendly Abaca Plus paper filter, which includes non-wood Abaca fiber, has a smoother paper texture than traditional Abaca filters, allowing for more uniform coffee extraction.
    Furthermore, by making the height of the crepes (wrinkles) on both sides of the paper slightly lower, and making distance between crepes narrower, we succeeded in maximizing the overall surface area of the paper. Larger surface area gives enough space for fine coffee powder to adhere. This feature enables a smooth water flow, so that you can control the speed easily.
